Chris Kendall '82 will talk, with visual aids, about his experience
fixing a radio telescope at the Amunsen Scott Station in Antarctica. The
story he tells includes the trip through New Zealand and Mcmurdo to the
South Pole, daily life around the station, holidays, foot races around
the world, and the realities of jacking up a telescope that weighs half a
million pounds. Admission is free and welcome to all. |
